Just 133 examples of this 695 Biposto Record were built for worldwide distribution. Only available in exclusive ‘Modena Yellow’ and embellished with ‘Tar Cold Grey’ trims,. With enamelled ‘695 Record’ badge on the sides and an aluminium bonnet are all standard features.

The Interesting feature for howmanymade is the ‘Numbered Plaque’ on the lower console. A limited amount of cars were issued in each country. All with the said plaque giving their edition number.

The research I have done so far comes to these figures…
Now, these were only issued in certain countries. Apart from Australia they mainly reside around Europe;
Germany had 10 – all numbered from 101 to 111.
Switzerland was allocated 5 cars initially they were; 25, 26, 52, 68 & 90 – Now it appears their original quota has changed and it’s more like 20 cars… current editions residing in Switzerland are; 21, 25, 26, 52, 53, 63, 64, 68, 70, 74, 90, 92 (a 2018 car), 114, 120, 123, 129, and possibly 133! Now, these may be cars that simply haven’t sold in other European countries and have been moved to Switzerland, either way, they currently reside in this area. And of course, LHD cars roam from country to country.

Italy has numbers 3, 4, 5, 14, 18, 80, 83, 96 & 100 among their quota… It’s possible that as many as 50 cars could have sold there.
Australia has 14 cars. However, this was the selected amount of ‘Biposto’ originally imported.
Spain was allocated 3 cars. The numbers are 34, 65 & 71
How many UK cars? Ah, this is open to discussion due to possible registrations of some ‘export’ cars and the confusing nature of how FCA (Fiat Group) register their vehicles. Well, 39 ‘official’ cars have been registered. This can be the original sales anticipated amount, but some ‘UK cars’ can be sent to other RHD countries, meaning they are registered here first. Importing them from the UK to RHD countries rather than directly from Italy can be easier. Some can even be registered via Italy to the UK, so they’re virtual ‘one-owner’ already. It’s a strange set-up, but it’s how it is.
One of the RHD cars is in Indonesia, most likely from the UK car quota of ‘UK RHD cars. One of the original UK cars is now in Malta.
As of June 2020, I have 35 cars that were UK-registered. The last three cars were registered in September 2018. One still had delivery mileage that was sold in July 2020 with just 36 miles on it. This was one of two cars left over from the original quota. Both cars went to the FCA-owned dealership, Motorvogue in Kings Lynn, whilst one sold there and another went to Portsmouth, the delivery mileage car is of those cars.

So, from my research, which has included internet searching and visiting many garages to get the car’s numbers…
A full list of all the UK numbers has been saved by me. Here are some other details;
Most of the cars were registered in 2015/2016, with six being registered on the cut-off date of 31/12/2016… These have a ‘G**’ at the start of their number plates. Then, there are four UK 2018 cars. Starting with No. 54, this was first registered in February. It came from the Northeast to London HQ, then finally sold in Hampshire. In the tale of No 79, this car had sat in the network for a few years, originally in Haverfordwest, before selling. Then No. 67 is now confirmed to be based in the South. And finally, No. 39 is the lowest-mileage car in the UK as of 2020. These last 3 cars were all registered on 29/ September 2018. These are the last known UK-registered cars… So as a final point, it’s been decided in any advert for these cars “it’s one of 39 in the UK” – well I believe only 35 cars remain in the UK. I toured the country, visiting every Abarth dealer in 2016/2017 and asking about the editions they’d had or sold. The average figure they’d heard from FCA was 1 of 31 or 1 of 33/34 in the country.
This means that 39 were registered in the UK via the GOV site. That’s true… But it’s most likely that a few RHD UK-registered cars filled the needs of other RHD countries.
And so, the search continues…

Thatโs great, when you get a moment checkout the one on the sold pages of Hexigsn Classic https://hexagonclassics.com/cars/fiat-abarth-695-biposto-2015/
This is the one I purchased afterwards resulting in me owning two cars at the same time. This one has the carbon pack hence why I had to get it it has everything excluding the windows and looks so cool. Feel free to use the photos if you need to for a future article.

I saw it recently up for sale, which I’m guessing is when you bought it. A heard a few of the Bipostos have had the suspension changed. It’s had 3 plate changes so far.
Hope this helps a little, Mike

Hello Mike, well done on all your research, I’m the owner of no.54 and according to your notes the last registered UK car which is interesting to know, purchased in July 2018 from a specialist dealer in Hampshire pre registered and with delivery mileage now sporting a personalised registration but was originally on a ’67 plate.
Thanks for the info and keep up the good work, Clive.

Hi Clive – Update! Yeah, I’ve found another one that is unregistered. There are a few standard Biposto unregistered out there and I’ve now tracked down another ’68 reg car… So as yet that’s just the two on a ’68. This is Septemeber 2018 – Mike

I had two Abarth 695 Biposto with the dog tooth gearbox at the same time. The first car I purchased from and sold through Lusso Prestige and the second car I still own which has the all options ticked excluding the plastic racing windows. Which I plan to keep for good. Have allready turned a offer for it.

Nice one. The Full kit editions will be the ones to have, especially the dog-ring box. The sliding windows are totally impractical but are more the look. I saw the one at Lusso, they do like their Abarths there and that was a full spec one.
Thanks for getting in touch, much appreciated. More will be added regarding Abarth in due course.
Thanks – Mike

So the RHD grey colour biposto isn’t a limited edition?
LikeLike
It wasn’t as such… but limited in the time it was available. In this case a couple of years. None of the grey ones were numbered.
However, the ‘full kit’ versions (gearbox and side windows) were very limited in sales volume, c20 in the UK. Quite a few of these are locked away in collections.

Mike
