The Very Rare Audi R8 LMX… One of 99 Worldwide Cars.

Very Rare in Right Hand Drive. Believed only 15 RHD cars worldwide.

With Only 9 UK Cars.

The LMX limited edition was the first production car in the world to come equipped with laser high beams headlamps.

A Brand New Paint Colour by Audi Exclusive called Ara Blue, with a crystal effect was available for the first time starting from this model.

A large, fixed rear spoiler increases the downforce on the rear axle. Like the front spoiler lip, the flics on the sides, the engine compartment cover, the exterior mirror housings, the sideblades, the rear wing and the diffuser, it is made of carbon fibre polymer (CFRP) with a matte finish. The Single frame grille, the air inlet grilles up front and the outlet grille at the rear are finished in titanium grey. The sports exhaust system has high-gloss black tailpipes.

The folding bucket seats are covered in Fine Nappa leather with a Sepang Blue diamond pattern. The backrest covers are finished in Ara Blue. Sepang Blue stitching provides subtle contrasts, including on the parking brake lever, the centre tunnel console, the steering wheel and the instrument cowl. The black Alcantara headlining and black Fine Nappa leather door trim panels take up the Sepang Blue diamond pattern of the bucket seats.

An Interesting fact is the lights. First to have the Lazer lights, yes, however, I heard a while ago from an inside source that the new Audi replacement cost of these was in the region of £10k a light! I’d be very interested to know the truth about this…

No1 of the total cars has been seen out and about. This is an LHD car. Seen here at the SML Car group https://sml-cargroup.com/audi-r8-lmx-01-99/?lang=en and has since sold via collecting cars in late 2022 https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2014-audi-r8-v10-lmx with minimal mileage.

This Edition was available in other colours from Audi Exclusive range but you’d think it was only in the new blue! Of the 99 cars, most were ordered in Ara Blue. However, of the Nine UK cars, only one was ordered in a different colour, that being Matte Daytona.

All of the cars are numbered on the doorsill. The UK car numbers are below;
